This original work is 30" x 40" and commemorates the groundbreaking of a new project in one of Atlanta's oldest African American Communities. The project, called Pittsburgh Yard, is meant to be a catalyst to bring new life to a community that has suffered from its transition from a thriving, vibrant, historic gem community to a neglected historic gem. Founded in 1883, that community of Pittsburgh was actually the "Harlem of the South."
